More about Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust

Our work with children, schools and families

We work with families and young people through our events and through the schools network.  Schools can sign up for our Schools watch membership – providing them with the resources they need through the national materials available, to run after school and lunchtime clubs.  We encourage school and other community groups to visit our nature reserves and families to join the Trust through a special family membership package- which includes our local and national membership materials, posters and events information.

Nature reserves

Our 43 nature reserves are open to everyone and our events programme provides regular opportunities to visit them through guided walks or warden- led tours.  Our training programme also provides people with skills to get more from their encounters with wildlife and encourages them to help us record the things that they see to help us create a bigger picture of wildlife in the two counties.
