About: As the name suggests, this fleshy, succulent herb grows in the wet margins of streams and ditches. Flowers between May and September.
How to identify: Look for large, rounded leaves and thick, juicy stems. The blue flowers seem tiny in comparison.
Where: Very common, grows all over the UK and Ireland.
Fantastic fact: The flowers of this plant can sometimes be pink.
