About: A large, pale orange ladybird with white spots. Feeds on mildew (fungus) on trees, particularly sycamore trees. About 6mm long.
How to identify: The Cream-spot Ladybird is similar, but is a darker browny-orange colour and a little bit smaller. Cream-spot Ladybird is more often found on bushes and at woodland edge.
Fantastic fact: Orange Ladybird is attracted to bright lights at night and often turns up in moth traps.
