What are nature stars?

About: A large ladybird, about 8mm long. Red, with 'eyed' spots, black ringed with yellow. Usually found on or near conifers, especially pine trees. Eats aphids.

How to identify: Unmistakeable, larger than all the other ladybirds and the only ladybird with yellow rings round the black spots.
