How to identify: Told from the smaller Lesser Whitethroat by the rusty brown edges to the wing feathers, pinky buff chest and the longer tail.
Where: A widespread summer visitor.
Fantastic fact: Males arrive in Britain about 10 days earlier than females, to set up territory before the females arrive.
