How to identify: Gulls can be very difficult to tell apart, especially immature birds. Adult Lesser Black-backed Gulls are dark grey above with yellowy-orange legs.
Where: Widespread. Nests around the coast, on cliff tops, roof tops and islands.
Fantastic fact: Lesser Black-backed Gulls that nest in northern Europe migrate all the way Africa to spend the winter.
