Spotting sheet help text

You can use this tool to create simple nature spotting sheets to print off and use outside. You need to be a registered user and logged in to use to create spotting sheets.

The list on the right hand side of the page is a bit like a shopping list or basket. Whenver you click the 'Add to spotting sheet' button next to any animal or plant, the animal or plant will then appear in your list/basket. You can add up to nine different species to your sheet. If you want to remove species form your list just press delete next to the one you want to remove.

When you are happy with your selection click the 'Create' button at the bottom of the list and you will see the final sheet appear as a print preview. You then need to give the sheet a name (e.g. farmland birds, my spotting sheet 15/10/2009 etc) and save it.

Once you've done that right click on the sheet and go to 'Save Target As...'. You can then save the sheet to your computer and print it off.

TIP: When printing make sure you don't have 'shrink to fit' chosen in your print options. TIf you chose xxxx instead his will make the on-page size bigger.

All sheet you create are stored in your profile so you can go back them again.
