What are nature stars?

About: The' crow, all black and about 45cm long. Crows make big nests out of twigs hidden in tall bushes, nesting on their own. They are birds of farmland and grassland. They feed on carrion as well as stealing eggs and baby birds from nests.

How to identify: Has a stouter bill than Rook, with no white on the face. Smaller than the Raven and with a square-ended tail.

Where: Widespread. Absent from north west Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man.
